Terry Maros has been a resident of Brevard, NC for the past 12 years, bringing with him a 40-year career in diverse technical fields. His expertise spans commercial architecture, computer sciences, digital photography, and IT. Maros began his journey in high school in 1986, gaining experience with DOS, Cobol, AutoCAD, Fortran, and other programming languages. This early exposure led to a 25-year career as a commercial architectural draftsman, production manager, and IT professional. During this time, he contributed to over 800 commercial projects, working with notable clients such as USPS, Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and most government agencies in Tallahassee, Florida and Leon County.
Terry Maros holds a robust academic background, having earned degrees in both Computer Science and Computer Graphics and Multimedia. His expertise is further specialized in the fields of photography and architectural drafting, showcasing a diverse skill set that bridges technical precision with creative vision.
Terry is also an accomplished sports and wildlife photographer with 35 experience in manual and digital photography, dark room processing, digital photo manipulation and graphic design and began Terry Maros Photography in 2000.
Throughout his career, Terry has generously volunteered his expertise to numerous organizations in Brevard, making a positive impact on the community. Here are some notable examples of his volunteer work include Boys and Girls Club, The Red Cross, The United Way, Transylvania Regional Hospital, Brevard Little Theatre, Connestee Amateur Theatre Society, Transylvania Mac Users Group and Through the Trees, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing computers and internet access to low-income families in Brevard.
Terry Maros is the esteemed Founder and current President of the Connestee Falls Computer Club. Under his visionary leadership, the club has flourished, providing a vibrant community for technology enthusiasts in the Connestee Falls area.
In January 2013, Terry launched Brevard Nerd Services to offer computer literacy, training, repairs, and upgrades to the Brevard NC area. Due to growing demand, he expanded his operations to a 1500 sq. ft. office downtown in October 2023, enhancing his ability to provide technical support to local residents.
Terry's dedication to volunteering and his willingness to share his expertise with various organizations in Brevard is truly commendable. He has made a significant contribution to the community, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many.
